Take time, ask questions, use video conversations where practical, involve someone you trust, and never send money to a match.
Email and phone verification
SahiRishta provides separate email-link and phone one-time-code verification features. These checks can confirm access to a contact channel at a particular time. They do not establish a member's legal identity, relationship history, location, intentions, or character. Verification may not be required for every account or every action.
Profile badges
Some profiles may display a verified badge assigned through an administrative control. The badge is not derived automatically from email or phone verification. It does not mean that the profile has passed government-ID verification, a background check, or independent confirmation of every profile detail.
Use the badge only as one piece of context, not as a reason to skip the precautions in our safety guidance.
Photo review
New member photos begin without approval. Approved photos are the ones made available in member search and profile views; administrators and moderators can approve or reject submitted photos. Photo review helps apply content standards, but an approved photo does not prove who owns the profile or who appears in an image.
Profile information
General profile fields are supplied by members. They are not all independently authenticated or manually screened before publication. Verify education, employment, marital status, location, and other important claims through appropriate, consensual steps as the relationship develops.
Reports, blocking, and moderation
Members can report concerns including fake profiles, inappropriate content, spam, and harassment. Reports enter a moderation queue for review. Blocking stops chat and calls between the blocked connection and prevents contact-detail access; it does not guarantee that a profile disappears from every part of the service.
We do not promise a response time or a particular moderation outcome. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for an online report.
Contact sharing and Privacy Shield
Contact requests are specific to a member pair. Only the profile owner can approve, decline, or revoke access. Accepting an interest does not grant contact access. Blocking or an active Privacy Shield prevents contact-detail access even when a request was previously approved.
Revocation stops future in-app access, but cannot recover information another person has already copied. Share contact details only when you are comfortable with that possibility.
Member-submitted success stories
Success stories are submitted by members and must be approved before appearing publicly. Moderation is not independent verification of how a couple met, their relationship status, or their statements. Stories should be read as personal accounts, not guaranteed outcomes.
